Rima Fakih – First Arab Miss USA

After a year filled with charity work, traveling, memories, and all sorts of other “warm fuzzies,” Kristin Dalton (Miss USA 2009) crowned her successor, Rima Fakih. This 24 year old marks a first for Miss USA, as she is the only Middle Eastern contestant to have won the title.

Fakih will represent the US at the Miss Universe pageant to be held this summer in America. Fakih was born in Lebanon and immigrated to the US at a young age. With the little money her family had, Rima had to sell her car to pay her way through the pageant.
