Khuram Sher, the man in the audition tape above, was detained on Thursday as a part of a national investigation of an alleged terrorist plot.

Sher auditioned for Canadian Idol in 2008, singing Avril Lavigne’s Complicated as his audition piece. He failed to mention that the thing in his life that was “complicated” was the fact that he’s (allegedly) a terrorist.

Idol auditions are known for attracting the crazies, but this one takes the cake.

As one blogger put it, If he had really wanted to terrorize them he would have sung GaGa. My thoughts exactly.
